About the Study:

The Racism Literacy in Secondary Education (RLISE) study is exploring racial literacy among high school staff and caregivers across Western Australia (WA), led by Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) researchers and community members.

 

The RLISE study is being conducted by researchers at Edith Cowan University (Prof Bep Uink, Noongar woman), Murdoch University (A/Prof Rebecca Bennett) and Curtin University (Dr Leah Cave, Dr Berardo Dewey), and is overseen by both an Aboriginal Data Governance Group and CALD Advisory Group.  

  

This study has been approved by the Western Australian Aboriginal Health Ethics Committee (Approval: HREC1384); ECU Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) (Approval: 2025-06337-Uink); Curtin HREC (Approval: HRE2025-0089) and Murdoch University HREC (Approval: 2025/100).
